Covered with snow - go on living

Quince becomes sweeter being a little frozen

Little oak
Early December. It seems the snow covered the biggest part of Europe, at least for a few hours. The temperature fell down below zero. However, a lot of plants continue to  live even covered with snow. Ivy is  green all year round and keeps it’s usual color under the snow. Aloe meets winter with all its’ leaves. Quince, blackthorn and briar become sweeter and tasty being a little frozen. Quince is good for jam or with the meat, blackthorn is excellent for cordials and briar can be added for preparing a restorative tea.  Try and comment :)
